Bedsider is an online birth control support network for people aged 18-29 operated by The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. Bedsider is a one-stop shop for contraceptive method advice, real-life testimonials, information on health center locations, and up-to-date news and advice about reproductive health for patients. Bedsider also features a provider network called Bedsider Providers, in which members have access to a variety of patient education materials and other resources.

Resources

  • "Where to Get It" is a search engine that provides information on where to get birth control and emergency contraception (EC) based on geographical location. 
  • Testimonial Videos show real women and men sharing their experiences with various methods of birth control.
  • The Cost Widget explains how to save money on birth control methods. 
  • Interactive Tools allow patients to set up free customized reminders for appointments, birth control, refills, and/or STI retests and providers to get information on how to participate in and/or embed a comprehensive health center directory onto their websites.
  • Educational materials such as posters, postcards, DVDs, t-shirts, and catalogs and brochures are available for purchase. 

 

Membership Options

Patients: Sign up with Bedsider to gain access to Bedsider Insider, which offers free birth control reminders, badges, rewards, informative articles, and advice from medical professionals. 

Providers: Find tools and materials, including appointment reminders for patients at Bedsider Providers.  Providers also get $100 credit to spend in the online store when they join the network. To join, click here
